In connection with the state of epidemic which remains in force on the territory of the Republic of Poland, it has been decided by Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education Mrs Anna Fidelus, PhD, DSc to postpone mandatory student traineeships and move them to the next Academic Year 2020/2021. In the light of this decision, students of the Medical Faculty. Collegium Medicum will not be directed by the University to attend their traineeships during current Academic Year 2019/2020.

 However, pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of July 26, 2019 on training standards for professions of medical doctor, dentist, pharmacist, nurse, midwife, bio-medical laboratory analyst, physiotherapist and paramedic, students, who…

  • served as help to medical institutions and/ or
  • assisted Sanitary-Epidemiological Stations in their duties related to handling of SARS-CoV-2 cases during the period of suspension of academic activity in Academic Year 2019/2020

… can apply to have their service recognized as fully or partially equivalent to skills practiced during regular student traineeship – as specified in and required by the Program of the Studies.

Please bear in mind that University reserves the right to recognize voluntary traineeship as only partial equivalent to standard student traineeship – depending on the number of hours served and range of activities practiced, as indicated in the traineeship completion form issued and authorized by relevant medical center/ hospital.
